Music Fans and Devotees of Doom

Sixty Watt Shaman are proud to be a part of the new WEEDIAN compilation Trip to Maryland: Tribute to Dave Sherman.

We first met Sherman playing shows together around Baltimore and Washington DC.  Over time, we released a split 7” and toured the United States together with Spirit Caravan.  One of our favorite experiences together was playing the outdoor party event organized by Dan Soren at his family’s property in Ijamsville, MD – the Solstice Reunion 1999.  Sherman and Dan were the last men standing at the end of the night, keeping the bonfire lit, swapping ridiculous stories and listening to jams on the sound system in his van till the sun came up.  For those of us who knew him personally, we all have so many smile-inducing memories with Dave – it’s hard to just point out one – and, if you know the sound of his voice, you will never forget it (I can hear it now!) – and, for those who only know him through his music, his bands and jams are legendary and we are blessed to have his music with us to enjoy and inspire forever.

Sixty Watt Shaman are honored and humbled to be included amongst such amazing musicians, so many friends, and so many great songs in a celebration of the music we love and play, and a celebration of an icon of our collective scene, Dave Sherman.Chib the Pib Brother! Keeping it Heavy Until We Meet Again!!! We Love and Miss You, Sherman! 🖤
